OPC has taken on a number of speciality projects, creating spaces for new and existing local restaurants. We work with building owners, restauranteurs and architectural design firms to create distinct look and feel for each restaurant.

encuentro, Jack London Square, Oakland

OPC worked with designers to convert a pilates studio/retail space into encuentro,  a modern vegetarian restaurant and bar on the edge of Jack London Square. Building from the bottom up, this included a full custom kitchen, ANSUL system, electrical, plumbing, HVAC ADA restrooms and bar.  Click here for photos.

Encuentro Wine Bar-129-XL

Mockingbird, Oakland

Working with Mockingbird owner/chef Melissa Axelrod, OPC is doing a complete renovation of an early 20th century building into a lovely, modern restaurant specializing in Northern California cuisine. This 4800ft2 redesign includes kitchen, all equipment, ANSUL system, dining room and bar. Click here for photos.

Joe DiMaggio's Chophouse, Austin, Texas

OPC was called in by a local restauranteur who was opening a location in Texas. We coordinated and managed the delivery and installation of the custom designed wood trim and finishes in the restaurant. The outcome was stunning space, with rich warm wood tones reminiscent of Joe ad Marilyn in the '50s.

Hog's Apothecary, Oakland

OPC was instrumental in the site procurement for the Hogs' Apothecary restaurant opening in downtown Oakland this summer. OPC worked with the owners and PG&GE to facilitate the updating of all utilities for the restaurant and is contracted as a consultant for the continued development of the space to accommodate the needs of this exciting new restaurant. We will stay on managing updates and maintenance of the 40th Street building.
