Formerly the Inn at Jack London, Z Hotel encompasses ¾ of a city block in Oaklands historic Jack London Square. OPC worked, with the design of a talented local architect, to update the look and feel of this Bay Area staple to cohesively fit in the areas modern new style.
Beginning with the exterior, this 50+ year old, 4 story building was updated with an open, modern look. The extent of the work encompasses the hotel, parking structure and lot and separate restaurant, and included a complete redesign of the lobby and entrance, addition of auto sliding glass doors, ADA accessible ramps and parking, Title 24 complaint external lighting and energy efficient glazing systems. As well as a porte-cochère and external covered walkway. Additional phases will include remodeling of the 100 guest rooms. Click here for some photos.
